Embossed logo for Hermann Schmidt studios on the mount board as well as an embossed crest below the image.
Photographer Hermann Schmidt was in business from 1905-1943 in Auckland.
Subject Notes
Matthew Stewart was the eldest son of Dave Heta Reweti Stewart of Thames and Emere Apanui Mair of Whakatane. Grandson of David Robertson Stewart.
Matthew married Celene Mary Banks in 1920 whom he met in England during WW1.
