Description
Embroidered souvenir cloth from Egypt, WW1, associated with 12/3565 Private Donald Melville Wood Brown, Auckland Infantry Regiment, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Company, NZEF.
Rectangular red satin cloth with [red] fringing and embroidered 'badge'. A laurel wreath frames a central circular badge bearing a large 'A / 9,' bordered by 'NEW ZEALAND EXPEDITIONARY FORCE,' and surmounted by the King's crown. A banner scroll at the foot of the wreath carries the message, 'To Mother From Donald.'
