DRAFT ANNUAL PLAN 2026/27

Tāmaki Paenga Hira Auckland War Memorial Museum is inviting Aucklanders to have their say on its Draft Annual Plan for FY 2026/27, which outlines the Museum’s priorities for the year ahead as it works to restore long-term financial sustainability, progress essential building works, and strengthen the visitor experiences it offers.

2026 Matafatafa Aho Pacific Artist in Residence

Tāmaki Paenga Hira Auckland War Memorial Museum is pleased to announce Sofia Tekela-Smith as the recipient of its 2026 Matafatafa Aho Pacific Artist in Residence, an initiative supporting Pacific artists to engage deeply with the Museum’s Documentary Heritage collections and respond through new creative work.

Auckland Museum reopens northern entrance and galleries

Tāmaki Paenga Hira Auckland War Memorial Museum’s popular after-hours singles events return this October, offering two evenings designed for guests to experience the Museum after-dark and meet new people in a relaxed, social atmosphere.
