Diamond patterns define circular borders across the centre. A few noko have been curved around the edge of the fan and secured with blue kakoko. The ends of the features have also been secured into the noko with the blue kakoko to create the feathered border. The features are mostly white with brown tinted ones spaced throughout. An off-white strand of te ira has been used to create a woven encasement. This has been fixed with a two-ply kakoko cord where the handle meets the iriba and again at the base of the handle in a red colourway. A loose end of this is present. This style of fan is considered ornamental and not for everyday use.
